Austech Facades is an Australian owned company established in 2003 by Directors Alex Imvriotis and CY Lim, specialising in the design, fabrication, and installation of glass and aluminium curtain wall facades.
Alex and CY have been working in business together since meeting in 1988. At the time, CY was involved in the glass and aluminium industry, where he gained extensive experience to become the connoisseur he is today. Alex, conversely, was working in the field of construction and whilst he began his career ‘on the tools’ as a carpenter, his inquisitive nature of how systems work, and his outspokenness have led him to become an innovative façade designer. Both felt their attributes complemented each other and were continually looking for an opportunity to work together in partnership.
On the 8th of August, 2003, Alex and CY found an opportunity by combining the curtain wall markets of Asia and Australia and Austech Facades was created. They soon realised the market spread wider than this, and have since found commercial prospects in the Americas.
In early 2008, we, Austech Facades, secured our own factory in Shanghai. While most of our competitors fabricating in China outsource their goods, we felt it necessary to have complete control of our product and thus, the brand Synergy Facades was created.
Moving towards 2012, we have completed projects in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Chicago, California, New Delhi and Singapore and are continually seeking to expand our repertoire.
